Our community fridges are stocked by neighbours, for neighbours — 24/7, no questions asked. Take what you need, leave what you can.
The Anelia Foundation's Community Fridge program was born from a simple belief: food is a human right. We place free, publicly accessible refrigerators in neighbourhoods across Metro Vancouver — stocked by local restaurants, grocery stores, farms, and everyday neighbours who believe in sharing.
Anyone can take food, anyone can leave food. No ID, no income verification, no judgment. Just open the door and help yourself — or help someone else.
Community fridges are built on trust, generosity, and the simple idea that everyone deserves good food.
Use our locations list to find the nearest community fridge in your neighbourhood. All fridges are open 24/7, 365 days a year — no appointment needed.
Open the fridge and take whatever food you need — fresh produce, prepared meals, packaged goods. No ID, no registration, no questions asked.
Have extra food? Drop it off! Home-cooked meals, garden produce, unopened packaged goods — all donations are welcome. Together we keep the fridge full.
